Cold wave likely to hit Central Viet Nam on Saturday
Cold wave conditions are likely to hit North Central Coast and Mid-central region from Saturday into next Monday, April 18, Viet Nam’s National Centre for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting.
Scattered rains and thunderstorms have been forecast over these areas during these three days due to the influence of a cold front.
There are also warnings of thunderstorms, lightning strikes, high winds, tornadoes and hail in these areas.
From April 11 into May 10, temperatures across Viet Nam will be 0.5 degrees Celsius below the average in the same period of previous years. The total rainfall amount will be 70 - 130 mm in common in Central Viet Nam.
The national forecasters predict that the hot weather will arrive in Central Viet Nam on Wednesday but cooler temperatures are expected in the following days. However, heat waves could increase in intensity in May in Central Viet Nam, but heat wave conditions will not last long and be severe.
