The Da Nang Department of Information and Communications has issued an official document instructing local residents and tourists contracting COVID-19 to declare their infection status and receive online certifications and papers while they undergoing isolation and treatment at home or at tourist accommodation facilities

Accordingly, local citizens and tourists infected with COVID-19 can declare their infection on the DANANG Smart City mobile app, receive the home/lodging facilities-based isolation and treatment certifications issued by the competent authority sent online via this app, SMS or Zalo and report updates of their daily health status on the app.

Upon reception of the aforementioned information, local medical stations and the city's Young Doctors’ Association will actively contact the patients for remote medical guidance and advice when needed.

Also, the infected people can make phone calls to 0236 3931022 to have talks with doctors for consultancies.

In particular, they can ask for certifications proving their full recovery from the disease, one of the steps to receive full salary from their employers during their days off for COVID-19 treatment as part of social insurance benefits, provided that they must virtually show their negative test results and have confirmation on their isolation and treatment completion.

The above-mentioned certifications have a unique QR code for each person and will replace the paper-based ones in using digital government and ‘smart city’ services in the near future.

People contracting COVID-19 can scan the QR code to look up information and documents related to treatment and isolation at home or business premises.
