The Da Nang Department of Natural Resources and the Environment on Friday worked with the Ho Chi Minh City University Natural Resources and the Environment (HCMUNRE) to promote cooperation activities in improving the quality of human resources and conducting scientific and technological research in the field of natural resources, environmental protection and response to climate change.

At the meeting, the leaders of the Da Nang Department of Natural Resources and the Environment suggested that its specialised units actively work with the departments, faculties and centres of HCMUNRE to identify specific cooperation contents, support consulting and scientific research in many aspects.

Included are water resource management, meteorology and hydrology, climate change, land management, environmental impact assessment of projects, solid waste treatment, especially used medical masks mixed in household waste.

On this occasion, the Da Nang Natural Resources and Environment Monitoring Centre (DONRE) under the Da Nang Department of Natural Resources and the Environment signed a memorandum of understanding on comprehensive cooperation with the Centre for Natural Resources and Environment Consulting and Services under HCMUNRE in the field of environmental protection and climate change mitigation, adaptation and resilience.
