Police in Da Nang’s Thanh Khe District said on Tuesday that the Police Investigation Agency under the Da Nang Department of Public Security has made a decision to prosecute driver Luong Duy Tan, a 42-year-old resident of Thanh Khe Dong Ward, Thanh Khe District, for violating road traffic safety regulations.

Earlier, around 5:40 pm on April 3, Luong Duy Tan drove a car with registration plate of 43A 50582 on Dien Bien Phu Street in the direction from Hai Chau District to Lien Chieu District.

When approaching an intersection with Le Do Street, the seven-seater vehicle crashed into the tail of a 16-seater car running in the same direction before making a wide sweeping turn directly into Dong Thanh Bakery at the corner of the intersection. The collision left 6 people injured, including two children, and all of whom were hospitalised.

Through careful investigations, the Thanh Khe District Police identified that driver Tan had used alcohol and tested positive for drugs at the time of the crash.
