As reported at a meeting on Thursday to review police performance in Da Nang in the first quarter of 2022, the city’s political security, social order and safety in the city were ensured, thus contributing to effectively serving the task of COVID-19 prevention and control and the city's socio-economic recovery and development.

The number of criminals decreased sharply compared to the same period in 2021. Also, 156 persons involved in 66 cases of violations of social order were arrested. No particularly serious crimes occurred in the city. Gangs of teenagers and young people using weapons to join conflicts were detected and handled in a timely manner.

In the coming time, the Da Nang Police Department will continue to advise the municipal administration to direct the implementation of the directives and resolutions related to ensuring security and order, strictly implement work targets assigned by the Ministry of Public Security this year.

At the same time, sight will be set on ensuring absolute security at key projects, important political, cultural and social events, guaranteeing the safety of delegations of the Party and State leaders, international guests in Da Nang, especially on the occasion of the death anniversary of Hung Kings, during the upcoming National Reunification Day (April 30) and International Labour Day (May 1) holiday, the national senior high school graduation exams.

In particular, more solutions will be taken to prevent and reduce the conditions that arise and increase crimes and social evils.
