Da Nang police, in coordination with relevant local units, is still investigating the cause of a tragic incident during which a foreign man passed away after falling to the ground from the Ocean View building near Nam Tho 6 Street, Tho Quang Ward, Son Tra District on Thursday.

Upon receiving the news from local residents, the police were urgently deployed to cordon off and examined the scene to investigate the cause of the fatal fall.

Through initial verification, the victim was a 62-year-old man of US nationality.  He had lived in a rented apartment on the 18th floor of the building since 2019.

According to the building manager, before the accident, he man had contacted to fix the air conditioner on the balcony.

An examination of the scene also showed that the victim had a battery of a hand-haled wall drill in his hand.
