The Da Nang People's Committee has issued a plan to organise the implementation of the Action Month for Occupational Safety and Health 2022 in order to raise the awareness of improving working conditions and taking measures to reduce risks at work.

Accordingly, the Action Month will be held from May 1 to May 31 with the theme ‘Strengthening measures to reduce risks in occupational safety and health, improving working conditions at the workplace, safely, flexibly adapting to and effectively controlling COVID-19”.

The municipal administration has required relevant local agencies to organize publicity activities on occupational safety and health, diversify appropriate forms of communications on many channels and media such as newspapers, radio, television, internet and social networks.

Also, documents and publications promoting the contents of the Action Month 2022 in association with COVID-19 prevention and control missions will be widely distributed to the public.

In addition, businesses, production and business establishments shall conduct risk assessment on occupational safety and health, propose measures to improve working conditions in line with the reality of their units in order to proactively prevent occupational accidents and diseases.

At the same time, heed should be paid to strengthening training activities, thematic training on occupational safety and health, coordinate with grassroots trade unions to support the victims of occupational accidents living in difficult circumstances.
