Police officers from the Drug-related Crime Investigation Division under the Lien Chieu District Department of Public Security said on Thursday that they had arrested Tran Phuoc Vinh, 42, residing in Vinh Trung Ward, Thanh Khe District, for illegal drug trafficking.

At noon on April 6, police officers from the Drug-related Crime Investigation Division arrested Le Hai Nam, a resident of Hoa Phat Ward, Cam Le District, and seized 40g of meth in front of a motel in Hoa Minh Ward.

Also, two packages of meth, a scale and many small plastic bags used to divide drugs were seized whilst searching Nam's residence.

At the police station, Nam confessed to buying the above-seized drugs from Tran Phuoc Vinh.

Immediately after that, police officers from the Lien Chieu District’s Drug-related Crime Investigation Division executed an emergency arrest warrant for Tran Phuoc Vinh. They also seized 2 packs of meth, 16 synthetic drug pills and one pound of urine at Vinh’s residence.

The police in Lien Chieu District are also detaining criminal suspects namely 30-year-old Nguyen Nhat Huy residing in Hoa Minh Ward, Lien Chieu District, 38-year-old Huynh Phan Anh Duc and 28-year-old Nguyen Duong Bao Thy, both in Hoa Khe Ward, Thanh Khe District, for the illegal trafficking of drugs.

Previously, the Lien Chieu District Police Department of Trafficking and Trafficking, seized the aforementioned subjects and seized 100g of meth and other evidences related to the illegal trading of drugs.
