Middle-aged man prosecuted for abuse of trust to appropriate property
A middle-aged man, residing in Nai Hien Dong Ward, Son Tra District, Da Nang, on Friday was prosecuted and banned from leaving his place of residence for the abuse of trust to appropriate property.
Earlier, in January 2011, Le Ngoc D. brokered for T.V.T, 52, in Da Nang, to buy two residential land lots: 27-A2 and 02-C8 in the Lang Ca residential area in Nai Hien Dong Ward at the total prices of VND1.42 billion. The two land lots were under ownership of Mr. E. and Mrs. D.
After completing necessary procedures and fully paying the land purchase prices to the sellers, T. asked for support from D. to make certificates of land use rights for the aforementioned land lots.
In June 2011, D. handed over to T. the certificate of land use rights of land lot No 02-C8. Particularly for land lot No 27-A2, D. has yet to make the certificate of land use rights, so she kept all the original documents related to this land lot.
In August 2013, D. sold this land lot No 27-A2 to Mrs. O. for a total amount of VND550 million.
To legalize the file, D. provided Mr. E. and Mrs. D. false information that T had sold this land lot to Mrs. O. Then, D. asked Mr. E and his wife to change the registered owner name for the property to Mrs. O and her husband.
In October 2013, Mrs. O. sold this land lot to someone else. Then this land lot was continued to be sold to many others.
In 2016, after discovering the incident, T. asked D. to return the land lot to him. D. gave T. VND400 million and promised to get the land back.
However, by 2020, D. could not get the land lot back, so T. made an application to the police agency to denounce.
Currently, the case is being investigated and clarified by the Office of the Investigation Police Agency under the municipal Public Security Department.
