Neurovascular intervention training for doctors in Central, Central Highlands regions
The Vinmec Da Nang International General Hospital and the US-based Medtronic Group organised a training programme and grant continuing medical education (CME) from VinUni University for doctors in Central Viet Nam and Central Highlands regions on “Neurovascular intervention - Practice of flow reversal stenting techniques”.
The programme showed the participation of senior experts from other leading hospitals such as the 108 Central Military Hospital and the Viet Duc Friendship Hospital, and more than 100 doctors and medical workers in this field from major hospitals in the Central Viet Nam and Central Highlands regions including the Da Nang Maternity and Paediatrics Hospital, the Quang Nam and Nghe An general hospitals.
Through the training programme, doctors had the opportunity to exchange detailed information from basic knowledge such as treatment strategy, planning, assessment of lesion size, approaches to treatment, diagnostic multimedia to update the latest advances and procedures in treatment.
After the theory part, experts shared practical experiences on cases during which patients were treated with neurovascular intervention - flow reversal stent treatment, and they were divided into practice groups on the model right at the training programme.
