Over 700 people in Da Nang join cleanups on Son Tra Peninsula
The Da Nang Management Board of Son Tra Peninsula and tourist beaches and relevant local agencies in the city on Friday jointly organised a campaign of cleaning up garbage while walking in combination with planting trees

The event aimed to actively respond to the opening of the sea tourism season in 2022 and contributing to building Son Tra Peninsula into a green venue.
A total of more than 700 young people and students from units, clubs, teams and groups participated in the collection of garbage scattered along coastal Hoang Sa Street and areas of Xanh (Green) Lake, Bai Chay, the Linh Ung Pagoda and some tourist sites on the peninsula.
Young people also participated in planting and taking care of trees surrounding the Ban Co (Chessboard) Peak, the banyan tree and making a total of eight “tree bridges” in the Son Tra natural conservation area to allow douc langurs to move across roads, and to create a new tourism product for visitors to the area.
Previously, on Thursday, a combined total of more than 500 Youth Union members and students joined the ‘Da Nang beach - Say no to plastic waste’ programme during which they cleaned up and collected plastic waste along beaches in Thanh Khe District.
