The incident happened at 10:00am in the middle of the two electromagnetic lighting symbols No. 60 and 59 placed on a road leading to the Bai Bac tourist site.
The rockfall crashed a small piece of a retaining wall to prevent landslide for a road leading to the Son Tra Peninsula. However, the incident did not cause damages to any vehicles or people who stopped taking photos in this area.

After receiving a report from locals, the Da Nang Road and Bridge Management JSC quickly mobilised human resources and specialised vehicles to collect fallen rocks on the road to ensure traffic safety for road users.
According to the leaders of some functional units, the phenomenon of rockfalls on the Son Tra Peninsula in the summer season is unusual.
As noted by our reporter, rockfalls often occur at the aforementioned stamped rocky cliff.
Currently, there are many locations at a high risk of rockfalls and landslides along a section of the Hoang Sa Street passing through the peninsula.
Specially, the Son Tra Peninsula regularly records a higher rainfall than other areas of Da Nang, so there is a high risk of landslides.
