Doctor Ton That Thanh, the Director of the Da Nang Centre for Disease Control (CDC) said that people should directly contact the Da Nang CDC at 315 Phan Chau Trinh, Binh Hien Ward, Hai Chau District, during working hours (except Saturdays and Sundays) to be granted vaccine certificates, provided they have received two doses of COVID-19 vaccine, for the purpose of travelling abroad.

All they need to prepare are: a passport, and a certificate of having received full doses of COVID-19 vaccine or information confirming that they have received two doses of COVID-19 vaccine on current health declaration apps, with full information about the name of injected vaccines, the time of injection, the unit of injection.

The cost of granting COVID-19 vaccine certificates for people to travel abroad is VND85,000 per person.

The average time taken for processing related documents is one day.

In urgent cases, people need to report their cases to the CDC staff to be able to receive certificates within the day.

According to the Vietnamese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Viet Nam had reached agreement on the mutual recognition of “vaccine passports” with 17 countries as of March 17. They are the US, the UK, Japan, Australia, Belarus, India, Cambodia, the Philippines, the Maldives, Palestine, Turkey, Egypt, Sri Lanka, New Zealand, Singapore, Saint Lucia, and the Republic of Korea.

Holders of “vaccine passports” of these countries and Viet Nam are entitled to the same medical requirements as those for local vaccinated people.
