The Da Nang authorities have issued a plan to implement the Action Month for Children 2022.

Themed ‘Joining efforts in child protection and child abuse prevention and combat’, this year’s programme will last from June 1 - 30.

In the framework of the action month, launch ceremonies will take place in seven districts citywide.

Also, the focus will be on providing scholarships, learning tools, gifts, and free medical checkups and treatment for children in difficult circumstances, ethnic minority children, and children who became orphans due to COVID-19.

Heed will be on enhancing the sense of responsibility among sectors and relevant organisations in child protection and to ensure a safe summer for kids.

Greater efforts will be made to mobilise financial resources for the Da Nang Child Protection Fund, support children who are victims of abuse and violence, ensure children's rights, taking care of pandemic-hit children, and build new schools, classrooms and entertainment venues for children.

As per request of the municipal authorities, forums, dialogues and seminars will take place in the city in order to facilitate children to express their opinions and aspirations on children-related issues. Meanwhile, children's clubs, teams and groups will be established in accordance with actual conditions in tandem with complying with COVID-19 prevention and control regulations.
