The Son Tra District Police in Da Nang has just arrested a gang of 5 pickpockets on charges of ‘property theft’.

Specifically,4 out of the 5 above-mentioned offenders hailed from the southern metropolis of Ho Chi Minh City whilst the remaining one is from the south-central Vietnamese province of Khanh Hoa.

Upon the arrest, the gang confessed that it had staged a scene to steal 21 mobile phones at the Revive Water Run 2022 event that took place in Son Tra District on the afternoon of May 28.

Having committed thefts, the subjects went to the Da Nang railway station to return to Ho Chi Minh City, but were discovered and arrested by the Da Nang police.
