The Da Nang Department of Transport has just put into operation a pilot system of cameras that control signal lights in real time at the intersection of Nui Thanh - Phan Dang. Luu and Ha Huy Tap - Huynh Ngoc Hue.

The aim is to reduce the time when the vehicle stops at the red light, relieve congestion during peak hours, save the manpower to monitor and adjust the lamp cycle.

According to the municipal Department of Transport, after the pilot operation period, the system can automatically adjust the signal light cycle, automatically store data about vehicle traffic and chart analysis.

It is known that the camera system at the two intersections of Nui Thanh - Phan Dang Luu and Ha Huy Tap - Huynh Ngoc Hue uses different technologies but are all towards the above goal.

It is expected that in the coming time, the department will continue to pilot the above-mentioned method at the intersection of Le Duan - Ong Ich Khiem to evaluate and compare technologies before proposing large-scale expansion.
