Major Nguyen Thi My Hanh, who worked at the Political Department of the municipal Border Guard, has been remembered as the image of a petite woman on duty at COVID-19 checkpoints amid the peak of the pandemic last year. She has recently made many people admire her for her beautiful actions in saving people in danger.

On a day in mid-April, while she was coming home from work, Major Hanh suddenly saw a young man lying motionless on the side of the road in front of the Co.op Mart supermarket on Dien Bien Phu Street, Thanh Khe District, due to an injury from a traffic accident.

Although he had been lying there for nearly 2 hours, he had not been taken to the emergency room.

At that time, Major Hanh immediately took him to the Emergency Department, Da Nang General Hospital without a second of hesitation. Then she tried to contact his family and handed over everything before coming back home.

More surprisingly, the young man's mother shared the story of her son being saved by Major Hanh on social networks and the story made a strong impression on many people.

She considers Hanh as the second mother of her son because the doctor said that in just a few more minutes, he would have passed away forever.

As confided by Major Hanh, at that time, she could only think about how to take the victim to the hospital as quickly as possible, otherwise, it would be life-threatening.

Although she is a woman, Major Hanh has always volunteered to do any duty when the unit needs it.

For example, during the COVID-19 resurgence last year, she volunteered to be on duty at the city's pandemic prevention and control checkpoints. Despite the complicated weather and pandemic situation, she and her teammates always tried to fulfil their tasks in a great manner.

She also participated in supporting the investigation officers to contribute to the overall success of the important project A2-1020.2 in arresting two female criminals for illegally transporting synthetic drugs.
In general, specific actions and deeds of Major Nguyen Thi My Hanh have contributed to beautifying and brightening the image of "Uncle Ho's army" in the hearts of the people.
