The Da Nang Department of Health has recently given a nod for the Da Nang International Terminal Investment and Operation JSC (AHT) to provide South Korean tourists who are in need of undergoing Covid-19 tests before leaving Da Nang with free SARS-CoV-2 rapid antigen tests from May 28 - June 30.

The move is to enable travellers from the Republic of Korea who have visited the central coastal city to meet the RoK’s entry requirements as soon as they return home.

The Representative Office of the Korea National Administration of Tourism in Vietnam has announced the latest instructions on entry procedures and quarantine exemption when entering the RoK, which requires people who enter the RoK starting from June 1 to have a negative PCR result within 48 hours or a COVID-19 rapid antigen test conducted within 24 hours before departure. They are also required to take PCR tests in RoK within three days upon entry.

Carrying out rapid antigen testing for COVID-19 is considered one of the city’s timely actions with the desire to bring visitors the most comfort and thoughtfulness. AHT is the pioneer in implementing this new preferential policy.

Currently, Da Nang is deploying a series of flexible solutions to restoring the South Korean tourist market.

The Department of Tourism has held a number of meetings to discuss the implementation of plans to welcome Korean guests, and tourism promotion and recovery solutions, in tademn with ensuring pandemic prevention and control.

Top priority has been given to developing many preferential policies on aviation, tourism products - services, and marketing campaigns towards the Korean tourist market.

In June and July, Da Nang plans to continue to operate other air routes between South Korean and Da Nang with the participation of such airlines as Vietnam Airlines, Korean Air, Air Busan, and Jeju Air. The purpose is to attract a large number of tourists to the city from other Korean localities, including Incheon, Jeju, Busan, and Daegu.
