Hai Chau District People's Committee Vice Chairman Truong Thanh Dung on Tuesday visited, and gave a bonus of VND10 million to the Drug-related Crime Investigation Police Team under the Hai Chau District Police Division for their outstanding achievements in busting a special case with the secret number 303M.

As reported, on June 4 evening, by professional measures, the team established a special case with the secret number 303M, and broke an illegal trading line of narcotics taking advantage of app-based shippers.

The two leaders of the illegal trading line, 32-year-old Nguyen Trung and 29-year-old Truong Thi Kim Hang, both living in Da Nang, used tricks to hide drugs and ecstasy pills in packages of instant noodles and snacks to bypass the authorities.

A total of more than 1,000 ecstasy pills, 3 packs of ketamine, and 50 packs of drugs in strawberry flavors were seized.

Vice Chairman Dung highly praised the team for their outstanding achievements, suggesting police in the district continue to take stronger measures to fight against the illegal trading, possession and use of narcotics in the locality.
