Some illegal drug dealers and users detected

Police in Da Nang’s Lien Chieu District said on Thursday that they are conducting investigations in a bid to accuse Ninh Thi Tuyet Mai of illegal sales of drugs.

The 29-year-old woman hails from Dak Lak Province, and is temporarily residing in Hoa Minh Ward, Lien Chieu District.

At 8:30 pm on June 13, the Drug-related Crime Investigation Police Team under the Lien Chieu District Police Division detected Mai with suspicious signs while patrolling at the junction of Nam Tran and Ton Duc Thang streets in Hoa Minh Ward.

Therefore, officers asked the woman to stop for an administrative check. At that time, they found a package of white crystal.

Mai confessed that the package contained methamphetamine, and she was on way to sell it to drug addicts.

During an emergency search of Mai's residence on Nguyen Huy Tuong Street, seized two more plastic packages containing white crystals and a number of related exhibits.

According to her confession, Mai bought the drugs from an unknown young man at the price of VND2.5 million in total.

Also on the same day, police in Thanh Khe Dong Ward said that they had transferred the dossiers and the subjects involving in the illegal drug use at a karaoke bar on Dien Bien Phu Street to the Thanh Khe District Police Division for further investigation according to competence.

Previously, the patrol group No. 8394 in Thanh Khe Dong Ward detected some suspicious signs at the S.D karaoke bar located on Dien Bien Phu Street, so they immediately conducted an administrative inspection.

Through inspection, officers discovered 5 men and 2 women in VIP room No.2 suspected of using drugs.

Officers found a plastic package of ketamin on the table inside the room. And, all youngsters tested positive for drugs.

According to their confession, the group of young people contributed money for L.T.S, 28, residing in Hai Chau District, and D.T.V, 22, in Quang Ngai Province to buy drugs for using.
