Earlier, on June 4 evening, the Drug-related Crime Investigation Police Team under the Hai Chau District Department of Public Security noticed 46-year-old N.B.D who was driving a motorbike to deliver goods with suspicious signs whilst patrolling along local streets.
Therefore, police officers asked the man to stop for an administrative check. At that time, they found three packs of ketamine and 30 ecstasy pills in two bags hanging on his motorbike.
According to his confession, N.B.D received the aforementioned package at a house at 133 Trung Luong 11 Street in Hoa Xuan Ward, Cam Le District.
Late on the same day, the police force conducted an unexpected search of room 2 on the second floor at 133 Trung Luong Street 11 and discovered that Nguyen Trung Dung, 32, residing in Da Nang, was the owner of the above order.
In addition, the police also seized 50 packs of drugs in strawberry flavors and some packs of ketamine in the room.
In their further investigation, police in Hai Chau District summoned Truong Thi Kim Hang, 29, also residing in Da Nang. Hang confessed to having illegally traded drugs with Dung.
Both of them claimed that the above-mentioned drugs had just been transported from Ho Chi Minh City to Da Nang for consumption.
Expanding the investigation, police in Hai Chau District continued to seize another 1,000 ecstasy pills that were ordered by Hang and Dung from Ho Chi Minh City.
Currently, Hang and Dung are criminally detained for further investigation.
