The Drug-related Crime Investigation Police Division under the Da Nang Department of Public Security announced on Wednesday that Dao Xuan Truong Sinh, residing in Hoa Bac Commune, Hoa Vang District, has just been detained for trading and possessing illegal drugs.

In early April 2022, scouts in Da Nang discovered that the 30-year-old man often had suspicious activities and interacted with a number of prominent drug-related subjects in the city, so they reported, localised relevant subjects, and set up a fighting project.

At the end of May, police force determined that Sinh flew to Ho Chi Minh City to receive drugs for sale. On the way back to Da Nang by car, Sinh regularly asked the bus driver to stop and park at many places to observe and avoid detection by the police.

Late at night on May 29, police in Da Nang coordinated with the Command of the Coast Guard Region 2 and other professional units to catch Sinh red-handed at the intersection of the Nam Hai Van-Hoang Van Thai bypass in Hoa Vang District.

At the scene, police seized nearly 500 ecstasy pills and 200g of ketamine that had been hidden in Sinh's handbag. At that time, Sinh confessed to the crime.
