31 activities to be held in World Oceans Week 2022
The World Oceans Week 2022 is slated to be held in China’s Xiamen City in November 2022.
Themed ‘Humans and Oceans - Working Together towards a New Decade of Blue Development, this year’s event will focus on giving active support for establishing global partnerships on green economy, and promoting harmony between humans and oceans through joint actions.
The event will feature a total of 31 activities divided into three main groups: ocean-related forums, ocean exhibitions and festival activities.
The information was released at the 13th session of the Executive Committee of the PEMSEA Network of Local Governments for Sustainable Coastal Development (PNLG) held in Da Nang on Tuesday. The event saw the attendance of the municipal People’s Committee Vice Chairwoman Ngo Thi Kim Yen.
During the event, members of the PNLG Network Executive Committee together discussed plans and activities in 2022, reviewed and approved the application for membership in the PNLG Network, and prepared for the 2022 PNLG forum to be hosted by Tangerang City, Indonesia, in October 2022, and the World Oceans Week 2022 to be organised in Xiamen City.
