As part of their ongoing working trip to southern and central localities of Laos, a group of Da Nang's leaders, led by municipal Party Committee Secretary Nguyen Van Quang, visited the Sekong Province Trade Fair on Sunday evening.

Secretary Quang visited each exhibition booth, and gave spiritual encouragement to representatives of Da Nang businesses participating in the fair.

He also asked the leaders of the municipal Department of Industry and Trade to boost connections with Sekong Province so that Da Nang businesses could access more trade markets in the Laotian locality, and display more locally-made products at the annual fair. The focus should be on opening stalls selling fresh seafood to serve provincial residents.

The ongoing Sekong Province Trade Fair sees the participation of businesses in southern and central provinces of Laos, and four provinces and cities of Viet Nam namely Da Nang, Thua Thien Hue, Quang Nam and Kon Tum, according to Director of the municipal Department of Industry and Trade Le Thi Kim Phuong.

Da Nang has a total of 16 enterprises participating in the fair. Seven of them are directly displaying their products at the fair, whilst the remaining 9 have just sent their products to the event.

On display at the event are electronic products, real estate, fruits, vegetables, foods, coffee, fish sauce, rice papers, pharmaceuticals, cartons of all kinds, and more.

Earlier, in the afternoon of the same day, the Da Nang delegation paid visits to the Academy of Politics and Public Administration in Sekong Province and the family of late Secretary of the Party Committee and Governor of Sekong Province of Laos Buon Nhon - Le Viet Muong.

During his visit to the family of the late Secretary of the Party Committee and Governor of Sekong Province, Secretary Quang wished family members good health and invited them to visit Da Nang if they have a chance to return to their hometown in Quang Nam Province.
