The Da Nang Department of Information and Communications has levied a fine of VND 7.5 million on the admin of the fanpage "mtvcs" according to the provisions of Decree No. 15/2020. /ND-CP dated February 3, 2020 of the national government on handling violations in the fields of post, telecommunications, radio frequencies, IT and electronic transactions.

On June 30, 2022, the admin of the fanpage "mtvcs" posted an article with the content: "Da Nang: The government of Hoa Khanh Bac Ward joins with businesses to encroach on city-level monuments. Here is the link below".

Through working with the Inspector of the Da Nang Department of Information and Communications, the admin of the above-mentioned site did not provide enough evidence to prove what were posted in the article.

Through verifications, the Department of Information and Communications, the Da Nang Police affirmed that there were not enough grounds and evidence to conclude that the Hoa Khanh Bac Ward authorities joined with enterprises to infringe on the heritage as the article posted.

Thus, the act of posting the aforementioned article violates the provisions at Point d, Clause 1, Article 5 of Decree 72/2013/ND-CP dated July 15, 2013 of the national government on management, provision and use of internet services and information on the Internet (posting information that is not true).

The municipal Department of Information and Communications also required the admin of this page to remove the article with the above-mentioned incorrect information.
