No human casualties were reported in a boat fire on Tuesday at the Tho Quang Fishing Wharf in Da Nang’s Son Tra District.

The witnesses said that fishing vessel BD41053, owned by 48-year-old Pham Minh T. hailing from Binh Dinh Province, caught fire as being anchored at the Tho Quang Fishing Wharf in Nai Hien Dong Ward, Son Tra District. They, immediately, shouted for help and made a phone call to functional bodies.

After receiving a report from locals, the Fire Prevention, Fighting and Rescue Police Team on river under the Da Nang Police Department, the Fire Prevention, Fighting and Rescue Police Team under the Son Tra District Police Division, the Son Tra Border Guard Station, and the Management Board of the Tho Quang Fishing Port and Wharf, quickly arrived at the scene.

Thanks to the great efforts by the firefighters and border guard forces, the blaze was completely extinguished after 30 minutes. The fire only caused property damage, but no injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation by authorities.
