Following recent instructions by the Da Nang government, the lifting and lowering of the middle spans of Nguyen Van Troi pedestrian bridge spanning the Han River has been suspended at the proposal of the municipal Department of Transport.

Relevant agencies shall propose to the Da Nang administration an appropriate time frame to resume the raising and lowering of the middle spans of the bridge to serve tourism after the decorative lighting system of this bridge reaches completion under the ‘Bridges, two banks and the surface of the Han River, an iconic Da Nang beauty, are set to glow at night’ project and Phase 2 of the ‘Bach Dang - Nguyen Van Troi - Tran Hung Dao’ project is completed,

The municipal Department of Tourism has also proposed the da Nang government to add a number of diverse and abundant auxiliary activities to attract both local residents and tourists during the time of lifting and lowering the bridge’s spans.
