The Da Nang Department of Planning and Investment announced on Tuesday that over 500 public opinions on the draft Master Plan for major developments in Da Nang in the 2021 - 2030 period, with a vision to 2050, have been collected after 30 days of making appeals for opinion collections.

During the one-month period, the municipal Department of Planning and Investment also conducted a survey through 1,800 opinion ballots.

Out of 500 collected opinions, the rate of people showing their agreement with the draft spatial distribution plan for socio-economic development and functional areas of the city in the planning period reaches 99.1%.

As for Da Nang’s development goals by 2030, the rate of opinions expressing agreement with the main contents such as an average annual economic growth rate of 9.5-10%/year during the 2021-2030 period reaches 98.8%.

The contents that have received the most attention and comments from the local communities are development goals and orientations of key economic sectors, healthcare, education and social welfare, spatial allocation, environmental protection, and biodiversity conservation.

As for 1,800 opinion ballots, the majority of people and organisations are in high agreement with the contents of the draft master plan with rates of 97% for per contents.

The collected comments and opinions will be used to perfect the draft Da Nang Master Plan for the 2021 - 2030 period, with a vision to 2050 in the best possible way and soon submit it to the competent authorities for approval.
