New trends in treatment of cosmetic dermatology
The 5th Viet Nam National Aesthetic Dermatology Conference organised by the National Hospital of Dermatology and Venereology in collaboration with the Da Nang Department of Health and the Da Nang Dermatology Hospital is going to take place in Da Nang from July 22 to 23, which will be one of the most prestigious events for nearly 1,500 delegates who are domestic and foreign leading professors, doctors, and medics to exchange experiences on new trends in cosmetic dermatology.

According to Doctor Vo Hong Ha, Deputy Head of Cosmetic Surgery Department, Da Nang Dermatology Hospital, the conference plans to pay focus on discussing internal and external aesthetics. There are 18 scientific sessions, and more than 80 reports of professors, doctors, and medics specializing in cosmetic dermatology with topics on the updated treatment of pigment disorders, acne, scars, skin rejuvenation, mesotherapy, injectable fillers, and plastic surgery. In addition, the conference will also update new knowledge, and cosmetic applications in the treatment of classic dermatological diseases such as psoriasis, atopic dermatitis, and vitiligo.
After two years of the COVID-19 pandemic, the 5th Vietnam National Aesthetic Dermatology Conference is an effort of the entire Dermatology industry. Putting into comparison to previous conferences, there will be more reports on the COVID-19 pandemic that has changed the trend of cosmetics as well as other dermatological diseases, and the conference is definitely a precious learning opportunity for all plastic surgeons.
“In the past, most people used to go to hospitals with specialized doctors to receive treatment or a beautification process as demands. However, in recent years, scores of amateur doctors and beauty establishments have sprung up rampantly with attractive offers, causing plenty of complications after cosmetic treatment despite the press constantly warned. Established in 2007, the Department of Cosmetics Surgery, Da Nang Dermatology Hospital currently has 8 doctors and 16 nurses and technicians.
