The University of Da Nang (UD) on Monday kicked off the 2022 Summer Volunteer Campaign with the theme ‘The UD Youth is creative, volunteering for the community”

The campaign, running from July to September, attracts more than 1,000 students from member schools of UD.

This year, the campaign deploys volunteering activities under 4 contents, including community-targeted efforts, ‘green march’, academic support, and medical examination and medicine distribution.

Volunteers get involved in repairing houses for policy families, developing tourism development projects, scientific and technical transfer, developing youth cooperative groups, building economic development linkage models among rural youth, and providing digital transformation training.

In addition, the students are actively engaged in building new-styled rural areas in difficult areas of Hoa Vang District in Da Nang and the districts of Duy Xuyen, Hiep Duc and Nam Giang in the neighbouring province of Quang Nam, the mountainous districts of Kom Tum Province as well as volunteering activities at the Da Nang Urban Area in Hoa Quy Ward, Ngu Hanh Son District.
