People are instructed on how to handle organic waste generated daily (accounting for more than 50% of the total amount of daily waste generated in households) for the purpose of planting trees and making environmentally-friendly detergent or washing liquid in the coming time, a move to reduce the volume of domestic waste that must be transported to the Khanh Son landfill for treatment.
On the same day, the Hoa Vang administration instructed mass organisations across the district on how to compost from organic waste such as leftover food, leaves, fruit peels and damaged fruit available at home by dry and wet incubation.
Also, the model of installing bins to treat organic waste into microbial fertilizer in public places to fertilise trees along model roads and other highly practical ones have been launched for the sake of environmental sanitation.
