Da Nang residents hurry their efforts to prepare for typhoon Noru

Da Nang residents are in a hurry to prepare for typhoon Noru as Da Nang could face potential threat from the hurricance according to the storm's latest path from Viet Nam’s National Centre for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting. Therefore, authorities at local level and relevant units are taking urgent action to help local residents in response to the hurricane.  

As observed by our reporters from the Da Nang Newspaper, authorities in Son Tra District are actively helping local residents with strengthening their homes, pulling their fishing boats ashore, and moving those, including workers and college students, living in rented propertites to safe places as typhoon Noru is approaching.

In addition, the district-level authorities are deploying their personnel to residential areas in their locales to help locals prepare their homes for the approaching storm. The border guards are working with relevant units to provide guidance and arrangements for fishermen to anchor their boats in the ​​Tho Quang Fishing Wharf and other designated serve weather shelters in the city.
