Da Nang shuts schools, government offices and wet markets as it braces for Typhoon Noru

The Da Nang Department of Education and Training has announced the closure of all schools across the city starting from Monday afternoon, September 26 until further notice as typhoon Noru is approaching.

The Da Nang government has decided that public employees and workers working in industrial parks will be allowed to stay home from the midday of Tuesday, September 27 because of extreme weather conditions. In addition, all wet markets in the city will be also closed from the midday of Tuesday.    

The municipal administration has asked the Authority of the Hi-Tech Parks and Industrial Parks, the municipal Department of Industry and Trade to work with industrial businesses to take proactive action to ensure continuity of production while taking mitigation measures in response to typhoon Noru in order to keep their employees safe and protect their properties during the bad weather.
