Deputy Director of Culture and Information Office of Cam Le District Le Hong Khanh said that the unit regularly cooperates with the Division of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs and the Police Division in the localities to inspect and supervise activities at karaoke parlors.
In addition to periodic inspections, the focus has been on distributing leaflets, raising awareness about fire prevention and fighting among the owners of karaoke establishments, and requesting them to write a commitment to strictly abide by the law in business activities, added Deputy Director Khanh.
Meanwhile, Son Tra District is now home to 23 licensed karaoke parlors. According to Ms. Vo Thi Phuong, Head of the Culture and Information Office of Son Tra District, the majority of karaoke parlors in the locality basically obey the nation’s fire prevention and fighting regulations.
She added, her unit will continue to coordinate with the district-level Police Division to organise training courses for managers and staff of karaoke parlors in a bid to raise their vigilance about the risk of fires and explosions. Heed will be on strictly handling all violations for failing to ensure security and order, fire prevention and fighting according to regulations.
Strictly handling violations
Senior Colonel Tran Van Huong, Deputy Head of the Fire Prevention, Fighting and Rescue Police Division under the municipal Police Department remarked the fire prevention and fighting police force will make periodic inspections to karaoke parlors twice a year.
In addition to the external alarm system, karaoke parlors are required to install an alarm system in each singing room.
Functional bodies will increase checks at these business establishments and raise awareness about fire prevention and fighting among their owners and staff in an effort to prevent unwanted fires and explosions.
Authorities at all levels must strictly handle all violations, resolutely suspend or terminate the operation of violating establishments in accordance with regulations.
