In the first 8 months of 2022, Lien Chieu District Police investigated and clarified 73 out of 86 criminal cases, arrested 123 criminals while 92 offenders were convicted for involvement in illegal gambling and more than VND 102 million were seized. Besides, 20 cases of economic violations were discovered  while 17 cases of environmental and food safety violations were detected. Futhermore, officers carried out investigations into 19 cases involving 26 drug offenders and more.

In particular, importance was attached to take effective measures to ensure traffic safety and urban order, contributing to reducing the number of road accidents, and the rates of traffic-related deaths and injuries.

Lien Chieu District Police asked the Da Nang government to install more surveillance cameras at major streets and areas in the district to support the local efforts to reduce the risk of crimes occurring and handle traffic violations.

In addition, the district asked for financial help from the municipal administration to support local defence and security events.
