13 fishermen rescued after boat engine failure
A total of thirteen fishermen were rescued after an engine failure occurred to their boat off the Quang Tri Coast, Regional Maritime Search and Rescue Coordination Centre No.II based in Da Nang (Da Nang MRCC) said.

The incident happened at around 7:30 am on October 28 when they were out on a fishing trip.
The fishermen were unable to make repairs, and their boat was adrift in strong winds, and this tough challenge drove all of them into panic. At the time, all of them were physically exhausted after many hours of battling bad weather conditions at sea.
The Da Nang MRCC received a distress signal from a fishing boat called BD96728 TS carrying thirteen fishermen after a technical failure while fishing off the Quang Tri Coast.
Upon the signal, the Da Nang MRCC worked with the Da Nang Coastal Information Center to ask fishing boats operating nearby to help the boat in distress.
Resue ship SAR 412 was launched to help the distressed boat and reached it at around 5:45 pm on October 29. The fishermen were welcomed onboard SAR 412 and underwent medical check. The fishermen were reported safe after the rescue operation. Their fishing boat was later towed back to Da Nang.
After many hours of facing high waves and strong wind, rescue ship SAR 412 from the Da Nang MRCC has safely brought back the distressed fishermen, who had been in danger at sea, to the mainland.
The broken down fishing boat were towed back to safety at around 7:30 am on October 30.
Upon arrival in Da Nang, the fishermen were turned over by the crew of SAR 412 to Da Nang relevant units for proper disposition, according to the Da Nang MRCC.
All the crew are now safe and in good health.
