The Da Nang Department of Natural Resources and the Environment held a ceremony on Wednesday to honour individuals and organisations in recognition of their active involvement in environmental cleanup operations after recent storms and flooding.

In particular, Director of the municipal Department of Natural Resources and the Environment To Van Hung presented Certificates Of Merit to 17 collectives and 15 individuals from the Da Nang Urban Environment JSC and the city-base Central Viet Nam branch of the Ha Noi Urban Environment Company Limited (Urenco 15) in honour of their active contributions to overcoming aftermath of recent storms and flooding.

Also on the occasion, the municipal Department gave 20 gifts to 20 sanitation workers in difficult circumstances whose houses and properties were damaged by recent storms and flooding. Each gift, worth VND7 million, consisted of a television, a gas stove, an electric rice cooker, an electric kettle, and an electric fan.
