The Da Nang government has issued a plan to implement the National Action Month 2022 for Gender Equality and Gender-Based Violence Prevention and Response which is slated to take place from November 15 to December 15.

With its theme on ensuring social security, empowering and creating opportunities for women and girls to achieve gender equality, and eliminating gender-based violence, the action month once again affirms Viet Nam's priorities and commitments in promoting practical progress in the matter.

The action month will focus on communication messages of gender equality being a criterion of progress and civilisation; ending violence and cultivating love; and denouncing acts of violence and sexual abuse against women and girls.

In addition, the city requests to organise the launching ceremony of the Action Month in a form suitable to the actual situation in each localities before November 15.

Importance will be attached to organising activities to support victims, women and children in difficult circumstances or being abused or violent, as well as introducing communication products on social security policies, women's roles, gender equality, and prevention and response to violence and abuse of women and children.
