Da Nang intensifies inspections and handling of unauthorised passenger coaches

The Da Nang Department of Transport has launched a campaign to intensify inspections and handle unauthorised passenger coaches, disguised as tourist or contract vehicles, in the city.

Accordingly, local traffic inspectors will focus on drivers and owners of coaches providing passenger transport services under contract or operating on fixed routes between Da Nang and Quang Ngai, Quang Nam and Hue. Also, passenger coaches sell tickets to collect money and confirm reservations for guests in any form will be subjected to inspections.

Strict penalties will be imposed on passenger coaches without transport business registration papers, badges, and installation of surveillance cameras on more than 9- seater automobiles as prescribed.

Inter-provincial passenger coaches on fixed routes violating Da Nang’s regulations on parking or picking up and dropping off passengers, and carrying more than the prescribed number of people, will be fined.

The campaign is running until October 31, 2022.
