Da Nang women dedicated for the community
On the 92nd anniversary of the Viet Nam Women's Union (October 20), the Da Nang Newspaper would like to introduce to our readers stories about two strong-willed women who are dedicated to community work.
After many years of living, studying and working abroad with 3 full scholarships, Ms. Nguyen Nhu Ha, co-founder of Meraki Education, decided to return to her hometown of Da Nang to start a business.
Recalling the first days of starting a business, Ms. Ha said she found it difficult to do a business in the field of education because this sector requires a combination of many factors. She explained that small invisible flaws can affect the development of a child in the future.
“I find the most important thing is the perseverance and the heart to the profession” added she.

Meraki Education is a startup project that has joined a creative startup incubation programme launched by the Da Nang Entrepreneurship Support (DNES) since 2016.
Meraki provides students with ‘educational solutions’ that have received international certifications in the field of languages and skills for children.
Continuously achieving success and receiving the trust of students' parents, the young woman continues to implement community projects that have been nurtured for a long time.
In the coming time, Meraki plans to provide free English courses and skill programmes for preschoolers and primary school pupils citywide, aiming to equip them with the skills necessary for life.

I have met Mrs. Pham Thi Mui, President of the Hai Chau 1 Ward chapter of the Da Nang Association of Charities and Children's Rights Protection, for the first time when she was giving volunteer meals for patients at the Da Nang Pediatrics and Maternity Hospital.
Talking about disadvantaged cases, Mrs. Mui said “There are people who I have supported for many years. Although they have lost their loved ones and their awareness has decreased, they still recognise me when I visit them. Therefore, I really appreciate those sentiments.”

Mrs. Mui is highly praised by the people around her for her great efforts in raising funds from generous sponsors and benefactors for the needy.
She has been awarded many Certificates of Merit from the city government in recognition of her dedication to charity activities over the past time.
“I only act as a bridge between the givers and the receivers. I hope I am healthy enough to do more charity activities in the future” said Mrs. Mui.
