The Deo Ca Transport Infrastructure Investment JSC said on Monday that the Hai Van Tunnel Operation Centre under the company had just completed the cleanup of oil slicks on the Hai Van Pass.

Previously, on October 9, a large volume of oil spilled into road surfaces on a section of the Han Van Pass from the top to the north of the pass, posing a high risk of traffic accidents.

After receiving a report from road users, the Hai Van Tunnel Operation Centre immediately sent rescuers and specialised vehicles carrying sand and tools to deal with oil spills.

By the end of the day, the oil slicks on the road surfaces of a section of the Hai Van pass were collected with sand, and the road surface returned to normal to ensure safety for vehicles.
