Many roads across Da Nang were heavily waterlogged after widespread torrential rains brought by Storm Son Ca battered the city in late Friday afternoon.
Specifically, as recorded in Hai Chau District, downtown streets such as Nui Thanh and Truong Chi Cuong, plus some residential areas along the both sides of the sewer line from Da Nang International Airport to Trung Nu Vuong Street, were submerged under up to 50 cm of water.
Phan Dang Luu and Le Thanh Nghi streets were inundated by 30-40cm, whilst Hai Ho, Phan Ke Binh, Mai Lao Bang, Han Mac Tu, February 3 and Xuan Dieu streets were flooded from 20 to 30cm deep.
Similarly, the heavy downpour flooded many streets in Son Tra District, including Tran Hung Dao, Tran Thanh Tong, Van Don, Bui Duong Lich and Pham Huy Thong.
