On Saturday, thousands of people who were Youth Union members, officers and men of the armed forces, members of associations and unions, and local residents simultaneously went out to clean up the environment after the typhoon, thereby contributing to soon returning clean and beautiful streets, beaches and public places to the city.

According to the municipal Department of Natural Resources and Environment, over the past 3 days, localities and relevant units have mobilised more than 20,000 turns of military officials and men, and workers, along with more than 550 motor vehicles, to clean up and collect domestic waste, and broken tree branches and leaves on roads, beaches and public areas.

At the same time, more than 15,000m3 of broken branches and leaves have been transported to the Khanh Son landfill, whilst more than 5,000 tonnes of domestic waste have been generated by people when cleaning houses, yards and gardens after the typhoon.

Up to now, trash on 33 main roads and tourist beaches citywide have been basically collected. However, there are still a lot of duckweed, garbage, and broken and fallen branches and leaves.
