Functional bodies are performing tree trimming and pruning along main streets in Da Nang in order to assure safety of the green tree system and road users during the upcoming rainy and stormy season.

As recorded in Lien Chieu District, from the early morning of October 6, the Lien Chieu District Urban Management Office asked the Central Highlands Greenery Co., Ltd. to carry out plans to trim trees, and cut down dangerous trees, to be ready to deal with the forthcoming stormy season.

In Lien Chieu District, there are now a total of 3,737 green trees, including 268 newly planted, 2,072 grade 1, 2,296 grade 2 and 101 grade 3 trees. Till date, 85% of the tree trimming and pruning work has been already completed.

In the coming time, the Lien Chieu District Urban Management Office will prepare machinery, specialised vehicles and a workforce to implement the plan to response to the flood season.

According to Mr. Tran Quang Vu, Deputy Director of the Lien Chieu District Urban Management Office, since the beginning of the year, the district has planted and cared for 7,899 trees planted along 150 out of the 178 roads.

In the time to come, the district will closely review the roads with green trees in a bid to develop the most optimal plans for ensuring the safety of trees in the rainy and stormy season, added he.

In addition, the Da Nang Park - Trees Company has also made specific announcements about the plan to cut and trim trees to prevent and control the rainy season before October 31, 2022.
