All vehicles will be prohibited from crossing Da Nang’s Han River Bridge from 11:00pm tonight, according to Deputy Director of the municipal Department of Transport Nguyen Trung Nghia.

Accordingly, the bridge will be closed to traffic from 11:00pm tonight to 5:00am the following day in order to make repairs and maintain rotating bridge mechanism system.

Previously, the municipal People's Committee agreed on the Department’s proposal about banning all vehicles from passing through the Han River Bridge for 15 days between 11:00pm and 5:00am daily (except for Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays). In which, there are 5 backup days in case of unfavorable weather conditions.

During the closing period, traffic will be detoured via the Thuan Phuoc and Rong (Dragon) bridges.

The city’s Transport Infrastructure Management Centre is responsible for installing remote traffic rearrangement signs for vehicles to follow during the bridge closure period.
