Da Nang leaders extend congratulations to teachers on special day

On Thursday, Da Nang Party Committee Secretary Nguyen Van Quang visited a number of educational institutions and retired teachers in the city on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of Vietnamese Teachers' Day (November 20).

During his visit to the Duy Tan University, Secretary Quang highly lauded the university’s great efforts in renewing teaching methods and enhancing the quality of education and training activities over the past years, significantly contributing to putting it on the world university map.

He wished the university’s teaching staff good health to continue devoting energy and wisdom for sake of the educational cause. He also took the opportunity to ask the Department of Education and Training to issue appropriate education policies for the city's leaders to support and create the most favourable conditions for the university to develop strongly in the near future.

Also, on the same day municipal Party chief Quang paid visits to People's Teacher Nguyen Trong Hoang - former Vice Rector of Quang Nam - Da Nang Pedagogy College, Elite Teacher Nguyen Cao Triet - former teacher of Nguyen Khuyen Secondary School, and Elite Teacher Nguyen Huu Xa - former Principal of the Tran Phu Senior High School.

During his meeting with the retired teachers, the city leader wished them good health and happiness, and continue to set shining examples for young teachers to follow.

When meeting with teaching staff of the Hong Quang Primary School based in Lien Chieu District, Secretary Quang highlighted their vital role in educating and supporting local children to go to school, and improve the quality of education.

On behalf of the city's leaders, he wished the school leaders and teachers good health and happiness on their special day. He hoped that the school’s teaching staff will continue to devote themselves to the cause of education and training to deserve to the responsibility and belief entrusted by the State and the people.

During his visit to the Da Nang School of Politics on Thursday, Chairman of the municipal People's Council Luong Nguyen Minh Triet sent best wishes to the school’s leaders, lecturers and staff on the occasion of the Vietnamese Teachers’ Day.

He highly praised the school for its remarkable achievements in training officials and employees from the authorities at municipal, district, ward, and communal levels.

He hoped that the school will continue to further promote its strengths and existing human resources to build the school according to prescribed standards.

Visiting the Son Tra District-based Luong The Vinh Primary School, Chairman Triet wished all school teachers and officials always happy, healthy and fulfilling their mission well.

Also on Thursday, Da Nang People's Committee Vice Chairman Ho Ky Minh visited and extended his congratulations to teaching staff of the Hai Chau District-based Phan Dang Luu Primary School and the Son Tra District-based Da Nang Vocational Junior College.

He expressed his hope that the teachers at the two schools would continue to uphold their achievements and successfully fulfill their assigned tasks, thereby contributing to training quality human resources for the locality.

When meeting with leaders of the Tuong Lai (Future) Special School in Cam Le District on Wednesday morning, Chairman of the Da Nang Fatherland Front Committee Ngo Xuan Thang applauded the efforts of the school’s teaching staff in overcoming difficulties to well fulfill the assigned tasks and to take better care of its pupils.
