The Da Nang Department of Transport has announced the fourth closure of the Han River Bridge, Viet Nam’s first swing bridge, and this will take effect from Wednesday to Thursday from 11:00 pm until 5:00 am.

Previously, the Da Nang government had approved Han River bridge closure plan submited by the municipal Department of Transport. Under this plan, the Bridge will be closed to all vehicular traffic for 15 days between 11:00pm and 5:00am every day, except Fridays to Sundays. These closures are to facilitate repair and maintaince works of rotating bridge mechanism system.

The closure schedule includes 5 days for backup plan in case of bad weather.

Motor-vehicle drivers can utilize Thuan Phuoc and Dragon bridges as alternate routes during the closure of the Han River Bridge.
