Inspiring digital transformation readiness among Da Nang young people
As many as 300 Youth Union members and civil servants across Da Nang’s Hai Chau District gathered at a Saturday talk show entitled ‘Digital transformation - Hai Chau District’s Youth - Opportunities and Challenges’.

The event was co-organised by the Hai Chau People’s Committee and the Viet Nam-Korea Information Technology and Communications University - the University of Da Nang.
During the talk show, Dr. Nguyen Ha Huy Cuong, Deputy Director of the Software Development Centre - the University of Da Nang cum Lecturer of the Computer Science Faculty of the Viet Nam-Korea Information Technology and Communications University, informed the participants about the lack of connectivity of many digital applications and technologies, job opportunities in the digital age, the importance of digital transformation for businesses, and how officials and employees master digital technology in their daily work.
During the event, youth union members also shared their desire to apply information technology and use digital communication skills in propaganda activities of unions, associations and teams to create publicity publications such as videos, infographics and photos with effects to increase the effectiveness of publicity instead of simply showing slides like today.
Speaking at the talk show, Hai Chau District People's Committee Vice Chairman Phan Thi Thang Loi remarked through the event, the district wished to convey rich information, new software products and practical experiences to stimulate creativity and form new ideas, thereby contributing to effective implementation of digital transformation in the locality.
It is known that over the past year, Hai Chau District has implemented many plans, programmes, projects and activities on digital transformation, with a focus on three main areas, namely digital government, digital society and digital citizenship.
With the great efforts of the entire political system, the digital transformation activities in the district have achieved some positive results in the past time. Included are the launch of the "Cashless Payment Streets" programme, 100% of people having unique medical ID codes and e-health records, 100% of students having ID codes and e-school records, and 100% of schools deploying cashless tuition payment.
Besides, Hai Chau District also completed the cleaning of citizen information data in the national database on population, and the use of online public services at levels 3 and 4.
