On Sunday, the Da Nang Association of Charities and Children's Rights Protection in collaboration with the Thai Binh Arms organisation (SEED) and the Study Promotion Associations of 9 central provinces from Nghe An to Phu Yen presented scholarships in the 2022-2023 academic year to 184 disadvantaged students in the localities.

Accordingly, each student receives a 4-year scholarship with different levels of support worth between VND17 million and VND42.5 million, depending on family circumstances, tuition fees and development potential. In addition to the scholarships, they are provided with laptops, and English and soft skill courses.

The granting of such scholarships is part of SEED's education and skill development support programme. The scholarship recipients have excellently passed interviews from sponsors and entered top universities in Da Nang, Hue and Ho Chi Minh City.

Most recently, the Da Nang Association of Charities and Children's Rights Protection has signed a contract with SEED to carry out a number of education-related activities in Da Nang during the 2022-2023 school year. Included are the granting of scholarships for students in difficult circumstances, and the organisation of training courses on life skills, and summer camps, with a total cost of nearly VND2 billion.
