1,330 gifts presented to flood-affected people

The Da Nang Red Cross Society organised the ‘Mobile Supermarket’ programme at the Thanh Khe District-based Coopmart on Wednesday, aiming to support people affected by floods in Da Nang in 2022.

During the programme, 1,330 flood-affected families were given free shopping vouchers, valued at VND1 million each, in order to buy food or household appliances at the mobile supermarket.

The programme was sponsored by the Coca-Cola Foundation. A total of 3,400 food vouchers and 1,500 household appliance ones were distributed to needy families in 28 wards and communes of 7 districts in Da Nang before Tet Festival 2023.

The city’s Red Cross Society will continue to provide vouchers for those in need in Cam Le District on January 6, Ngu Hanh Son District on January 8, Hai Chau District on January 10, Lien Chieu District on January 12 and 13, and Hoa Vang District on January 14.
